I have stopped double-posting my blog entries in lifebytes. blogspirit.com and I have been started writing in my newblog: http://***.com since September 3, 2005 as currently I don’t feel like sharing everything with everyone anymore.

I haven’t had a chance to edit the WordPress ready-made template and moved the blogrolls, links etc. to the new blog. I hope I can do that as soon as I can get on-line from a computer.

There are some protected entries which I don’t want to share with anyone but myself (that’s what I like the most from WordPress), but maybe there will be entries in the future that I might like to share with the 11 of you - and I will put “(Friends Only)” after the entry’s title. And the password for those entries will be: ***. I might also e-mail any of you if there were entries I’d like to share with 1-2 persons. Please do not share the password with anyone else. Thank you.

Lots of stories that are in the news are upsetting and at times can be quite frightening.

CBBC Newsround Online has spoken to some experts and put together tips about what you should do if something you’ve seen or heard in the news is worrying you or giving you nightmares.

If you’re worried because of something you’ve heard in the news:

Always check the facts if you hear a nasty story - it might not be true or it could be exaggerated.
Remember that things in the news are often in the news because they don’t happen very often.
Discuss the news with your friends or chat about it on a message board. You’ll be reassured that you’re not the only one worried.
You could also talk to your teacher about it - maybe you could have a class discussion which would help you understand the issue better.

If you’re having nightmares or trouble sleeping because of something you’ve heard in the news:

Tell your mum or dad - reassurance from them will make you feel much better.
Try talking about your nightmare or even drawing it. This will help you to confront your fear.
Surround yourself with things that make you feel secure at night - even if it is your old teddy bear that you keep hidden from your mates!
Try to balance the news you read. If you read a bad story then try and read a happy one before you go to bed.

Everyday Luxuries I Take For Granted

1. in your house, what is the most useful appliance or gadget you own/use?
Computer.

2. in your house, what is the least useful appliance or gadget you own/use?
Radio.

3. think about your kitchen appliances & cabinets - do you love or hate your kitchen now?
Kind of hate it, because I want to have a better furnaced kitchen.

4. what room in your house needs to be cleaned the most, and why?My bedroom because that’s where I spend most of time at home.

5. do you know anyone who is a hoarder or serious pack rat, to the point where it affects their lives?
So far, I don’t.

6. in your place, which room would you love to have completely redone to your specifications, money being no object?
My bedroom. I want it in black & white color, with a red lamp on the bedside tables.

7. what would you have done to this room? give us brief details - construction, furniture, style, colours…
White wall, black wood furnitures, brown-carpeted floor, well… a modern-minimalist style, I guess.
8. are you a fan of redecorating/renovating shows?
Yes. I love watching “Bedah Rumah” on Sundays. The show is about how they redecorate/renovate poor people’s houses to be better & worth staying in. They paint the walls, fix the roof & parts of the house that need to be repaired, & even change the furnitures. It touches my heart very much.

Tadi pagi gue bangun lebih dulu dari weker yang baru bunyi jam 7.30… trus jam 8.30 gue telfon Paula. Suaranya serak gitu, katanya dia kena flu parah. Nggak tau gue, apa gara2 kemaren nangis sampe hari ini sakit..

Gue tanya sama Paula gimana pembicaraan sama Chief kemaren. Ternyata Chief nyuruh dia resign karena Paula dianggap pemicu keributan di studio beberapa hari yang lalu antara Ibu Eka & Pak Edmond. Sebenarnya sih ya… keributan itu gara2 ketidaksenangan anak2 terhadap manajemen Pak Edmond yang dari awal agak terlalu memaksakan. Maksa gitu loh, hanih… Jadi kekhawatiran Paula soal kemungkinan dia nggak dikasih ijin itu cuma pemicu aja.

Anyway, Paula nanya ke Chief atas dasar apa dia disuruh resign. Kata Chief, karena Paula disinyalir sebagai main reason penyebab bentrok. Gila aja! Katanya atas dasar perkataan Ibu Eka tempo hari waktu pertemuan sama Pak Yudi, makanya dia menyimpulkan seperti itu. Padahal waktu itu Ibu Eka hanya jelasin kenapa sampe Paula nggak turun liputan.. Yah, menurut Paula udah diputar-balikkan deh. Trus dia mengalihkan pembicaraan ke hal lain. Dia nggak mau bahas masalah itu, atau bukti, atau dkk dll dsb dst-nya… Pokoknya dia nyuruh Paula bikin surat pengunduran diri, as soon as possible(!) demi kebaikan semua orang. Apa coba?!

Sempet gedeg juga dengernya. Aneh deh! Gue bener2 nggak ngerti. Orang2 nggak seperti tampaknya - & I don’t like it! Paula akhirnya mutusin mau ketemu sama Pak Yudi hari ini untuk bicarain masalah itu. Gue suruh dia kabarin gue karena gue pengen tau dari sudut pandang Pak Yudi kayak apa..

Kemaren: saking sibuknya gue sampe lupa ultah Connie! Padahal dari kemarennya gue udah inget2 mau ngucapin selamat di sms atau di ym!… tapi waktu tadi malem malah nggak sempet ngobrol sama dia.. dan gue samasekali nggak inget ninggalin pesan!

Karena…

Kemaren akhirnya gue masuk kantor. Ngurus kuliah nggak bisa karena kantor kemahasiswaan tutup, jadi gue baru akan bayar kuliah dari semester sekian tahun yang lampau sampe sekarang hari Senin pagi2 banget nanti - setelah gue nge-chek di kantor kemahasiswaan atau kantor pusat.
Jam 1 gue ketemu Roy Renald & Paula di rumah Jerry dekat SMPN 1, ngobrolin tentang kantor sebentar, trus kita sama2 brangkat ke studio. Sampe sana kebetulan Pak Edmond & Ibu Ella blom ada, nggak tau kemana, jadi gue mondar-mandir aja situ nyapa anak2.

Akhirnya gue diajak Echa ngeliput di Polsek Tikala. Sempat dikit adu mulut sama Yar soalnya kan Yar bilang gue disuruh tunggu Pak Edmond di situ karena dia mo ngomong, Echa bilang dia udah dapet ijin ajak gue jalan seandainya gue udah sampe & Pak Edmond belom balik.. Aduh, bingung deh gue liatnya! Ya udah, gue ngalah aja.. pergi sama Echa. Eh di jalan tau2 ketemu mobil Pak Edmond.. disuruh lah gue balik ke studio lagi. Sampe studio, Yar nyengir aja gitu liat gue dateng.

Lantas gue diajak ngobrol sama Pak Edmond - dan Ibu Ella - di dalam kantornya. Dikeroyok gitu…!
